About
I'm Otis. I build websites, portals, dashboards and automations for small teams. I'm based in Cannock, Staffordshire, and I'm available to organisations across the West Midlands and, remotely, across the UK.
How I got here
I started in operations. For years I managed teams, stock and cash on busy match days, and later worked in NHS hospital logistics, delivering temperature-sensitive medicines and vaccines with full records and secure handovers. That work taught me what a repetitive process costs when it is done by hand every day, and how much it matters that a system does what it says.
In 2023 I completed a diploma in Full Stack Software Development with Predictive Analytics, and since January 2023 I've worked as a freelance Python developer and energy analyst for TeraJoule Energy. There I've built a scenario explorer, contributed to reporting tools and worked on validation checks for energy-system modelling.
Now I bring both sides to small teams. Having managed stock, rotas and cash by hand, I build tools that fit how staff really work, not technology for its own sake.

How I work
- Start from the problem. Where it helps, we agree a simple baseline and a way to check whether the change has worked.
- The smallest useful fix. One problem solved well beats a big system nobody uses.
- Agreed steps. We agree the scope and review points before work starts, and nothing goes live without your sign-off.
- Documented handover. I write the handover so your team, or another developer, can take it forward, or I'll look after it.
